Compassion

Our Compassion Ministry aims to Be the Light in our community by loving and serving those outside the church.
Being the Light
Our Philosophy
Blue Oaks has invested in our local community since our inception. In the current fiscal year, we’re investing 18% of our operating budget through our Compassion ministry. We’ve identified projects that we will fund as a part of this campaign and those projects will be invested in as pledges are fulfilled.
Homelessness
At City Team Oakland, and in our local community Blue Oaks is committed to serving and investing in the lives of people who lack adequate housing and struggle to provide for basic needs.
Supporting those who foster kids
Blue Oaks partners with Beyond Emancipation and CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) to encourage children who are currently in, or aging out of the foster care system.
Senior living chapel services
We provide encouragement and relationship through music at some of our local assisted living communities each week.
People with special needs
Blue Oaks will continue as the host church for the Tim Tebow Foundation Night to Shine prom night for people with special needs.

This was a big hit last year and also a lot of fun. Open to all ages, and having a good voice is not required. There will be three opportunities, sign up for as many of them as you’d like! We will go to the local care facilities we currently visit each week. Sign Up Here.
