Blue Oaks Church is collecting backpacks for students in the foster care system and who attend continuation high schools in our community. This year backpacks will be given to students at:
- Del Valle Continuation High School in Livermore
- Village High School in Pleasanton
- Youth supported by Alameda County Court Appointed Special Advocates (ACCASA)
- Youth served by Beyond Emancipation
For students who often feel isolated or overlooked, this simple gesture can be powerful. What may seem small to us can be exactly what motivates a student to keep going.
How You Can Help
- Donate a backpack between July 6 and July 27 at Blue Oaks Church. If you prefer online ordering, here’s a link to an Amazon list of backpacks.
