Serve on a Team

God gave you unique skills and talents to serve others and do for one what you wish you could do for everyone. We will help you find areas to serve that match your gifts, passions, and schedule.

Serve Teams
You can serve Blue Oaks with a team of others to achieve the goals for the team. We have teams for every ministry and department—teams that serve on Sunday and others that serve midweek. If you’d like to explore all the existing teams, click below.
Missional Groups
If there is a cause or people group that God has put on your heart, Blue Oaks encourages you to talk to us about launching a Missional Group where you can find others at Blue Oaks and beyond who may share the same concern. If so, email [email protected] to begin the conversation.
Recreational Groups
Perhaps God has wired you to bring people together to share a common interest. In so doing, you build community and spiritual friendships. We encourage you to start a recreational group if you’re motivated to do so. Email [email protected] to learn how.
Try a First Serve

Our Philosophy
We serve to fulfill the great commandment to love God and to love our neighbor as ourselves (Matthew 22:37-40) . At Blue Oaks we want you to serve according to your giftedness. This means finding places to serve that fit your unique combination of spiritual gifts, personality style and ministry passion.
Use your gifts
We have many service teams to choose from. We can help you find a place to serve that matches your spiritual gifts, interests, passions, and schedules. Opportunities to serve are available on Sundays and throughout the week. If we don’t have something that exists, we’ll work with you to create individualized serving opportunities.
Connect With Others While Serving
Serving is one of the best ways to meet people, grow strong friendships, and develop your relationship with Christ.
Try a First Serve
We allow you and ministry leaders to see if there’s a good fit through what we call a “First Serve.” You can try out serving in a ministry, and if you like it and want to continue, that’s great! If not, we’ll try another first serve until you love what you do.
