We believe God gave you unique skills and talents to help change the world around you. At Blue Oaks, there are serving opportunities to fit your skills and your schedule!
We serve to fulfill the great commandment to love God and to love our neighbor as ourselves (Matthew 22:37-40) . At Blue Oaks we want you to serve according to your giftedness. This means finding places to serve that fit your unique combination of spiritual gifts, personality style and ministry passion.
Connect through Serving
One of the best ways to meet people, grow strong friendships, and develop your relationship with Christ is through serving. And it’s not just on Sundays! Serving opportunities in and outside of Blue Oaks are available all throughout the week through our Compassion Partners.
Use your gifts
Here at Blue Oaks, we have many different service teams to choose from. You can learn about where help is most needed and we can help you find a place to serve according to both your gifts and interests. Teams such as Kids, Students, Welcome, Set Up, and Tear Down help Blue Oaks to continue to help others grow into Christ-centered living.
Try a First Serve
We want to allow you to try out a team before committing. We call that a first serve. After working with the serve coordinator to identify a few options, you try it out if you like and want to continue; great! If not, we’ll try another first serve until you love what you do.
There is joy in giving of your time and talents to improve the lives of others - especially when you serve in accordance with the gifts God has given you. Check the list below for just a few examples and then sign up to try a first serve.
