Small Groups

Middle-aged people gathering in a living room for fellowship, coffee and fun

Life change happens best when we’re developing and deepening relationships.

Find a Group

“My Small Group is a place where I can love & grow with my family. It’s shown me that many other people go through the same struggles as I do, and I don’t have to go through trials alone. I can be real with them and share all the struggles I am going through while being there for other people.” – John

Life is better together.

Small Groups create a space for you to intentionally share your life with others, grow spiritually together, and encourage each other through the highs and lows of life.

We have groups for men, women, co-ed, young married couples/families, students, and married couples, just to name a few.

Find a Small Group Near You

Blue Oaks Small Groups meet in homes and other locations throughout the Tri-Valley, including Pleasanton, Dublin, Livermore and San Ramon. While we gather together in Pleasanton on Sundays, Small Groups make it easier to build relationships and grow in your faith with people who live near you.

Use our Group Finder to search for a group that fits your location, schedule and stage of life.

Starting a New Group

Don’t see a group at a time that’s good for you or serving a segment that meets your needs? You’re welcome and encouraged to start a group. If you don’t want to host small group meetings at your home, there is space in the church to host them. Email groups@blueoaks.church to learn more about becoming a small group leader.

Lead a Group

We’ll equip you with simple curriculum, training, and a caring coach. Pick a night, invite a few people—we’ll help with the rest.

Submit your form by August 30 so we can get you ready for fall.

Fall is the perfect time to gather a few friends, neighbors, or co‑workers and grow together. You don’t need to be a Bible expert. You simply need a warm heart, a willing home (or table at a café, break room, or Zoom link), and a few open seats.

Our team provides easy-to-use curriculum, leader orientation in early September, and an ongoing coach for support. You choose the night. We’ll walk with you every step.

How It Works

  • Complete the Leader Interest Form (below) by August 30.
  • Attend a short leader orientation in early September.
  • Choose your meeting space: home, campus, workplace, or online.
  • Launch your 8–10 week fall group.
