Small Groups create a space for you to intentionally share your life with others, grow spiritually together, and encourage each other through the highs and lows of life.
We have groups for men, women, co-ed, young married couples/families, students, and married couples, just to name a few.

Blue Oaks Small Groups meet in homes and other locations throughout the Tri-Valley, including Pleasanton, Dublin, Livermore and San Ramon. While we gather together in Pleasanton on Sundays, Small Groups make it easier to build relationships and grow in your faith with people who live near you.

Starting a New Group
Don’t see a group at a time that’s good for you or serving a segment that meets your needs? You’re welcome and encouraged to start a group. If you don’t want to host small group meetings at your home, there is space in the church to host them. Email groups@blueoaks.church to learn more about becoming a small group leader.
Lead a Group
Small groups are one of the most important ways we help people build relationships, grow in their faith, and move toward Christ-centered living. Every new group creates another opportunity for someone to find a community that fits their life.
You don’t need to be a Bible scholar or an experienced teacher to lead a group. You simply need a willingness to gather people, care about them, and help create a place where they can connect and grow.
We’ll equip you with simple, practical curriculum, leader training, and a caring coach who can support you along the way. You choose the type of group, the day and time, and where you’ll meet—at home, on campus, at a workplace or café, or online.
Leading a group is a meaningful and enjoyable way to serve. You’ll meet new people, build deeper relationships, and play an important role in helping others take their next steps of faith. Life change happens in small groups, and it happens because people are willing to lead them.
The more groups we have—meeting on different days, at different times, and in different places—the easier it becomes for people throughout Pleasanton, Dublin, Livermore, San Ramon, and the surrounding Tri-Valley communities to find a group that fits their schedule and a place where they belong.
How It Works

- Meet with our team and get equipped to lead.
- Choose the type of group you’d like to lead and when and where you’ll meet.
- Invite a few people and open your group to others looking for a place to connect.
- We’ll provide resources, support, and a coach to help you along the way.

- Do I need experience or a lot of Bible knowledge?
No. You don’t need to be a Bible expert or have led a group before. We’ll provide training, resources, and ongoing support. - What do we study?
We offer simple, practical curriculum designed to make leading a group approachable and help generate meaningful conversation. - Where can my group meet?
Groups can meet in homes, at church, in workplaces, cafés, other community spaces, or online. - What kind of group can I lead?
There are many possibilities. Different kinds of groups help us connect with more people, so we welcome groups built around different stages of life, interests, schedules, and ways of growing together.
