Men’s City Team & Goodness Village
We are still making meals for Goodness Village and City Team Oakland each month. Group size is limited, and space fills up quickly. Our student leaders joined us on our last trip to City Team, and it was a blast. I especially loved all the conversations that took place while we served. It provided an opportunity for Blue Oaks families to get to know the student leaders. It’s meaningful, fun, and raises awareness around the issues of homelessness and substance abuse. We have so many preconceived ideas about who these people are, and what we experience is that they are just people. People like us who need grace and love extended to them.

Senior Center Christmas Carolling
Many of you know that we minister to the elderly in senior care facilities each week. Singing brings them joy and visibly elevates their mood. Many of them feel isolated and lonely, so it’s truly a blessing to be part of something that is meaningful and encourages them.
This year we have several opportunities to do Christmas Caroling in these senior communities. It is low-key, with no pressure. You don’t even need to have an excellent voice.
The only requirement is that you like Christmas Carols and want to bless others with the Christmas Spirit. We will have songbooks for everyone so you can easily follow along.
